Studying abroad in France after high school

    A quick name search (Parcoursup, DAP, Campus France…) in your preferred search engine should get you to the right place.

  • 2. Make a checklist of next steps to study abroad in France

    Once you have decided on your major and the programs you want to apply for, it is important to make sure your papers are all in order to get to France and study! Nothing is worse than going through all that paperwork only to be sent right back home with nothing to show for it.

    In most cases, you need a visa to study abroad. In France, you only have to apply for a student visa if you live outside of the European Union. A (non-exhaustive) list of documents you might need to apply to study abroad in a university:

    • - A translated copy of your passport or ID card
    • - Proof of residency
    • - A certified translation of your birth certificate (for insurance)

    And if you live in one of the countries party to the Hague Convention of 5 October 1961, all of your personal records (birth certificate, marriage certificate, etc.) will need an Apostille.
